Get Back | Tomorrow Never Knows

In memorium...

Since the 11 September attacks in 2001, the medical examiner's office has recovered 19,936 body parts and has been trying to match them with the 2,792 people listed as missing.

The tributes are lovely, the closure is necessary, but the horror is vital. The horror is what will keep it from becoming just another political lightning rod or sick joke. Never, EVER, forget how you felt that day.

Too bad it's already been milked for political purposes by both sides. It's gotten to the point that if I stumble onto a televised Bush speech I want to throw things at him when he endlessly mentions 9/11 and ties it to Iraq/uses it to justify torture, wiretapping etc. I'm not even American, but 9/11 was such an attack on the global conscience, and it's sad to see that all the world unity and goodwill is gone, and that Osama is not only still at large, but not a priority any more.
