He's hiding out until everything becomes clear - that he was acting on Dumblydore's ORDERS - and he will - in the end, save the day!

Well, that's what I WANT to think, anyway.

I haven't read that yet, but have been (sort of) following some of the theories at Mugglenet. Harry Potter is my other fandom.

I've added that link to memories and will peruse at leisure to absorb.

Ah, Mugglenet! Where I used to spend all my cybertime before I discovered J/P. ;)

About a week after I finished HBP, I went on Mugglenet and posted my All-Purpose No-Holes etc etc theory about Snape and Lily. It was in its third incarnation when I dropped out (and I haven't been back in, like, 18 months). I should post it here for my crossover friends to dissect and discuss. I must say, it answered most of the necessary Snape questions quite nicely.

I still think the poor bugger's gonna bite it in the end, though. :(

You mean I'm not the ONLY one with a Snape/Lily theory? What's YOUR Snape/Lily theory?

I'm surprised I didn't see you there - was your online moniker the same? Mine is different than LJ.

Yeah, hardcore HP fan, then hardcore Alan Rickman fan (but only because I'm WAY too old to be a DanRad fan), have been a Beatles fan since before I started menstruating and every couple of years, I brush the dust off my John Lust and admire him anew for a while. His beauty never fails to move me.

Yeah - he may bite it. I'm willing now to just wait and find out.

We may have seen each other there - I was Severely Snapped. And just as mouthy and opinionated as I am at JHP, I'm afraid. :)

I just couldn't take the HP fandom anymore...especially the Snape end of the spectrum. Oh! The angst! The darkness! The idiots who kept coming on and having the same old arguments over and over and over again. JHP was like a breath of fresh air - and considering all the built-in real life angst inherent to J/P, that's saying something.

Oh, and I do the same with Paul. And now I get to throw John on top of him in all sorts of hot and compromising ways ogle and analyze John as well.

Wow! Beautiful costumes! Of course, you're Hermione and Viktor! That's my favorite of the movies so far. Did he shave his head special, or does he wear it like that all the time?

Those are great.

OMG, you guys look FANTASTIC! You're such a cute couple. Ron is a doll. And I must say as one straight gal to another, you're the prettiest Marine I ever saw. :)

(BTW, did anyone else think movie-Krum was hotter than movie-Cedric? No? Just me? Okay.)

Movie-Cedric was nauseatingly pretty. :P Not what I imagined at all. Cedric is supposed to be handsome in that aristocratic English way. :) If they make Young Sirius a Cover Girl, too, I'm gonna throw something. :P Not that I'm particularly "into" the movies, anyway. *grumblegrumbleMORESNAPEgrumble*

Amen! Just one of several reasons the movies bite - way too much of that Potter kid and not nearly enough Snape. ^_^

I'm sorta NOT kidding, either. I mean, is teenage intrigue at the Yule Ball really more important than the revelation that Snape was a Death Eater (which got all of, what, thirty seconds)?

Are you guys okay with spoilers? 'Cuz I have a couple of pretty good ones here, if you're interested. Straight from the horse's mouth, as it were.

I'm not at all worried about Snape's vindication. :D I am extremely worried for his life. :(

Wow - when I read her answer to Rushdie right after it happened, it did not come out as "Snape is Good". More of a "you have a good theory"...

Man, I am NOT going to slip into this madness again! :)

Yeah, I think the folks at The Leaky Cauldron transcribed it, and they are very anti-Snape. I'm always finding them "forgetting" or slanting thinks JKR has said that might make Snape seem anything but the greasy murdering bastard he's supposed to be.

But titti was there, and I've known her for a long time, and I trust her. (MOF, she posted my very first HP fic on her site, God bless her.) She wouldn't have posted that if she wasn't 100% sure.
